in short, im nearing the end of my time at college and am about to graduate with my computer science degree with a track in software engineering and was wondering if a certificate would further my ability to land a job, ive seen some mixed feelings about programming certificates online and was wondering your take on it. do you think its worth it or just a waste of money? |

Most professional programmers understand that you are still learning. There is such demand for programmers that most businesses hire anyone. A certificate may help your resume stand out, but your future coworkers generally won't care.
If you have used a compiled language and/or understand design patterns you'll be leagues ahead of your peers. |

Most likely it would put you infront of other candidates, but in all honesty the money you will end up spending may not be worth it. What's better than a certificate? Proven work of past projects. |
