Not to sound cliche but think of your future, what do you want to have when youre 40 etc
I save money by always asking myself, is it gonna change my life, do i need it? or is it gonna take away from my life "money waste". |

Audit wrote Ran into alot of exrta expenses lately, and just wondering what you guys think is the easiest way to go to motivate yourself to save? I use to be terrible with money. My rule of thumb as a minimum is to have a $10,000 buffer in your bank account. Save until you have that, making sure you have that buffer in case something comes up will eliminate a lot of stress from your life. Never having to even know when payday is can also be quite freeing. |

Budget effectively and life will become alot easier and stress free. im quite lucky enough to earn like 8x the minimum wage in the UK a month so its not something i need to do but i still do it and invest alot of my money in stocks and cypto. Those coffees you go for every morning do you need those? That packet of sweets you bought during your lunch break at work? Could you not have bought a multi pack and saved money. All these sorts of questions you need to ask yourself. |

If you're from the UK, we have an app called "Plum" it's a money saving app; it'll withdraw money from your account and put it into "savings". With an extra 0.4% APR on each deposit which is nice. |

MobiusCheats wroteAudit wrote Ran into alot of exrta expenses lately, and just wondering what you guys think is the easiest way to go to motivate yourself to save? The buffer method is what I used when I was young just set a target for an amount of money in your account and when you get to that number see it as zero and avoid going into it. From there you can set a higher number and move it up as you save but at the end of the day it's still willpower if you can't control yourself this won't work. |

I set goals so when I hit my limits I give myself a allowance to use, I started it by when I saved up 3k I got 500$ next was 5k then I got another 500 at 8k I gave myself a 1k and at 10k I gave myself another 1k and then 15k was another 1k and splurge like that but that's just me, I have more saved up now then I ever thought I would have. |
