never had to put a dog down before started having uncontrollable seizures but after 17 years with me it was his time i felt like a murderer signing that paper that i was gonna let him go today love and miss you mac

You did him a kindness bro, he knows that. He went with love in his heart and a full life. Think of the long life he had and the memories and love he gave you and of that you gave him.

Sorry to hear this none dog owners wont understand how much they become part of the family 17 years is an amazing amount of time you did the best by him clearly.

totally get where you're coming from. Whether it's 17 years or 17 days, it's always gonna feel like losing a child. Make sure to look back on the blessings of good memories that God gave you with Mac. Feel better!
