Anyone willing to take gold and a few bucks to help me pinpoint my issues?
-Pc is prob ab 2 years old exactly and cuts off randomly while playing games or just watching vids for too long. -I tried going into bios and setting it to default and it didn't help much. -I don't believe I had noticed this before recently upgrading to windows 11 This is a SS of idle pc after leaving it be for an hour or so: I don't know what other programs to run besides speedfan SS of pc specs (it is a prebuild btw): |

The 7th gen i7 to 9th gen have bad thermal designs to them. Most users of these cpus do not use the stock cooler nor a basic fan cooler.
You chose a power hungry cpu so you need a cooler capable of handling 180-250 watts of power, if you have a good cooler, 2 fans on a heatsink them double check the thermal paste otherwise you have to max out your fans and look into a 240/280mm rad water AIO cooler. |
