Anyone have a way to stop screen tearing while using a controller ? Even with vsync turned on in nvidia control panel. I have a 4k monitor with 165hz set and when in game is says 164hz but if i switch to 1080p while gaming all screen tearing disappears and it says 165hz and all is smooth

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think screen tearing would have any correlation to you using a controller.

Are you using HDMI or display cable? Is your windows display settings set to 165hz?
Also you may have vsync turned on but are you sure your monitor is freesync compatible, and is freesync enabled on the monitor?

What game / monitor / graphics card are you having issues with?

I have a Evga RTX 3060 and My Monitor Is A G32QC By Gigabyte 2560x1440 165hz I Only Play Call Or Duty Games

Only screen tears in 2560x1440p if I put in in 1080p everything is smooth .
Everything was fine until I rest my pc the other day an I can't get it fixed

Make sure your drivers are up to date: nvidia.com/download/index.aspx
Check that your monitor is set to 165hz in Nvidia Control Panel and Windows Advanced Display Settings.
Try Cod in windowed fullscreen or just fullscreen mode and see if switching between them changes anything.

Thanks for the help I checked everything you said and it all checked out . Switching from full screen to windowed full screen didn't help. I enabled G-Sync and capped my fps at 140 and it fixed everything ! Thanks for the helpful Tips
