Hey,
I have been trying to install the Avatar update recently and have realised that the reason it doesn't seem to recognise when I put a USB in with the files on is that I don't have the SysExt root directory. After doing some research I found that there is a fix for the missing HDDx root, which I need to sort out, but my main problem is the Avatar one as there are a lot of things it's affecting. I hop someone can help. Thanks! TG. |

Go onto the Xbox.com and download the xbox avatar update and install it through Neighbourhood
Also make sure your USB is formatted to FAT32 |

Ah I should have said. I use an Android for all my work. No PC of any sort. I did get the update from there though and put it in what I assume is the root directory. The very first section, so not in a folder other than the update right? |

Format your USB on your xbox and then put the file onto your USB and them when you plug it in it should ask you to update MAKE SURE YOU,RE ON THE LATEST DASH FIRST, BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE AVATAR UPDATE If it doesn't ask you to update, simply try renaming $SystemUpdate to $$ystemUpdate and try that |

Well, I spent a number of hours mucking about with this, but to no avail. I think it is looking for the SysExt to put the files in rather than creating one first, which is what I need. Any further help would be appreciated.
By the way, how do I get auto-response to work on here as I am having to check my posts manually even though I have checked the box. Thanks! TG. |
