Hello everyone, first off I'm not good with thank yous, I feel like me just typing Thank You doesn't express me and my family's gratitude enough. But thank you. Every single one of you, no matter how much you have donated, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This is mostly a thank you and a small update.

We are trying hard to get things rolling, I'm not sure if anyone knows it but my 81 year old grandmothers house was also flooded, she lives right next door. Most of her possessions are ruined, anything ranging from her living room suit she just paid off to family photos were destroyed by the water, mud, and ultimately mold. Though flooded and most possessions ruined, her house is at least savable. So we have been working hard trying to get her house livable again, so we can atleast live with her for the time being. I will attach some photos below.

But everything right now, is going as best as it can. We have contacted FEMA and our application has been processed and an agent has been sent out already to asses the damages of our property. Unfortunately everything inside our storage building is not covered by FEMAs policy, they mainly focus on main dwelling. Our case is still pending, but the agent did say our property is not livable.

I also wanted to say that the first week was rough, even though we were safe from the waters, we had no shelter, food, water, etc. Thankfully my aunt lives in the area and has taken us in for the time being. But due to the flood knocking down power poles, overflowing pipes, etc, there was no power, No AC in 90f heat, no running water. It was hell. But thankfully your donations helped pay for drinking water and food for the hard days until utilities were fixed. The local fire department then got resources from the government and gave us some drinking water and home cooked meals daily.

I am now happy to say that right now, I have a roof over my head, it might be temporary, but I have one. The next step is to try to get my grandmothers house livable again, and then hopefully by that time I may have a home of my own.

Thank you all.

Thank you to everyone that gave donations to a member in their time of need. Looks like Scizor had the most donated so they will pick the icon. It has truly been amazing that we raised a total of $3,215. Never would I have thought we would raise so much but I guess I was proven wrong. The badge will be added soon so don't worry. Have a great day guys and god bless.

Hello again everyone!

Here's a little update on the house. We have done a lot of work getting the sheet rock up, compounded, floors you can actually stand on, AC and much more. And once again I want to thank everyone that has donated, even recently someone donated $25 and another person donated $10, that helped up buy some fittings we needed for plumbing. So thank you!

We are at the end game, at the point to where we are buying appliances and doing the final sanding on walls to prep for paint.
As it stands right now, the house is almost livable, the only thing we don't have yet is water. When we were replacing the floors we noticed alot of pipes broke loose, so we have had to fix those. But it's been a process.

Hopefully when we get water in the house we will move back in so we can just wake up, get outta bed, and get back to work on the finishing touches of the house.

Here are some pictures of the current state of the house

Thank you all, Jinx/Toka/JD
