Hey forum friends.
My Rgh xbox 360 slim with wifi adapter built in is not was to see my wifi. It shows others around me but not mine.
I've reset to default in the system, unplugged everything and reatarted but nothing.
Fyi, when i start it up i can only get to the profile/xbox page if i hit the eject button right after powering up. Otherwise it'll just cirle after xbox360 logo.

My xbox one right next to it works fine on witlfi too.
Any ideas?

Refresh/rescan the wifi connections.
Also, you have outdated plugins. Swap those out and you should be good.

Ok still having my network test fails blocked/blocked and i still have to bypass plugins to load up.

I went to xbonlinelive / client downloads/ plugins ( there were 5 files and the stealth server exe file was shown below the plugings folder so copied that as well.
Put it all on a usb and updated my root hd in dashboard. Hit restart and still need to bypass to load up (??)

The freezing is being caused by a bad plugin. You need to either remove the plugins and replace them or just delete the launch.ini from the hard drive. Most likely it's a stealth server plugin making it freeze.

As for the network issue I would resolve the freezing first. When you test your connection and it shows that it failed it should give you recommendations to fix the issue, sharing the error it's giving you would help. If it gives you an error along the lines of not being able to assign an IP address then you'll need to wire direct with Ethernet or contact your ISP. All my 360's, retail and RGH, refuse to connect to my wifi no matter what I do so I have to hardwire always, even though my series s sits right next to it and WiFi works fine.

Thx for the help Crippy! I think I'm getting a bot closer.
Ok so I deleted the launch ini file ,thought it was needed for the system to run (??). Anyhow, rebooted and no circling .
Ran the network test failed / blocked. I then ran a ethernet line and reran test and now the network connects, internet failed / xbox live blocked.

Recommendation is for a DNS error. DNS server can't resolve xbox live server names.

Alright so now you will need to go into Dashlaunch and adjust some settings. If you plan to connect to Xbox live you'll need a stealth server, Proto is free and it's a good server if you don't have another.

You will also need to reset your plugins in dashlaunch.
Plugin 1 = xbdm.xex
Plugin 2 = stealth server
plugin 3 = JRPC2.xex
Plugin 4 = you can put menus here
Plugin 5 = you can put menus here

If you're going on Xbox live you need to disable liveblock and livestrong under the network tab in dashlaunch. Also make sure xhttp is disabled.

If you're not connecting to live then leave liveblock and livestrong enabled. Most stealth servers will handle enabling/disabling those for you.

You are also probably getting the 169.xxx.xxx.xxx IP. Manually configure your IPV4 settings as a static IP. Also, set your DNS settings to either Google DNS servers or Cloudflare servers.

P: 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1
S: 8.8.4.4 or 1.0.0.1

Also, don't forget to set a Static IP, it's really necessary if you are using Xbox 360 Neighborhood, also setting it static can stop it from trying to auto configure to the 169.xx IP. Let me know if this helps.
