Alright so my brother is looking to get a new PC since the one he has currently only has a 1050ti and a Ryzen 3 3200G and I am looking for recommendations. He does not need any peripherals so the budget of £1000 GBP is just for the PC itself.
He wants a black case since he wants a black and red theme and I plan on giving him my 2x8gb kit of Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz RGB RAM so that doesn't need to be included in the build. Thanks in advance. |

What motherboard does he currently have? What games/apps does he plan to run? These should loosen out the budget a little if everything doesn't need replaced. |

The build that he has now will be going to my other brother so he will need a new motherboard anyway. He just wants to be able to run newer games mostly, he doesn't really do anything else besides gaming that would require any specific hardware. |

Open to second hand market suggestions for GPUs? Can usually find some reasonably priced, MSRP is close but not fully there yet. Open to RGB for the red accents or should the build follow a black and red theme on the hardware itself(custom cables etc)? |

Ideally new since then I know that if there are any issues, I can send it back for replacements. RGB is fine, the parts don't have to be red however it is preferred. |

PCPartPicker Part List
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor (£232.92 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S chromax.black 82.51 CFM CPU Cooler (£89.99 @ Amazon UK) Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 GAMING X V2 ATX AM4 Motherboard (£105.99 @ AWD-IT) Storage: Samsung 980 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (£85.83 @ Technextday) Case: Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB ATX Mid Tower Case (£134.99 @ Box Limited) Power Supply: Corsair RM650x 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (£87.98 @ Currys PC World Business) Total: £737.70 I strongly suggest looking used/local for cards, the prices are still hiked up a bit. Can often be found locally for better value, however if you want one included I can compromise in some areas and add in a 3060/70 LHR/ti. Storage can be added as required, though this should be fine for OS, files and ~5-6 games to start. If really needed a lot of local shops usually have deals on storage from my experience, just something to keep in mind. Stayed relatively neutral with the colors. 4000x is perfect for RGB, can get some extra fans for a bit more. replace the one on the chromax and have that there as well. Could go with a earlier generation CPU if you wanted to lower the price, same with motherboard. PSU is what I have in my 3070 HTPC build. No noticeable delivery issues that I've noticed. Left out RAM(supplied) and GPU (listed above). |
