super stoked to finally make this post! i was debating about upgrading my blue yeti usb microphone for awhile now, and picking up this beautiful podcast kit, which was just the microphone the cords and the tripod it sits on, but im so happy. it even has XLR output cables for a choice left up to me
Upgrade and get an audio interface and have even BETTER quality OR Stick with what I have now and enjoy how much better it is already. im always looking for deals and what not, so im sure i will pick one up soon, but for now, it will have to do WITHOUT the interface for now as, im broke |

Hell yeah dude.. I remember when I went from a yeti to a Samson q2u which has a USB and XLR. I later got a Yamaha MG10XU so I could use the XLR to my benefit. That was roughly a year and a half ago, nowadays I rock my RE20. I'm in love with my RE20 and it was such a great purchase haha. Are you working towards the SM7b? |

Did you notice any difference quality wise with the microphone using one cord over another? Oddly, this microphone has usb AND XLR capability, and dont have an audio interface at the moment as i cannot afford one. |

Picking this mic up for content and podcasting how've you been finding it?
Definitely seems like the best option on the market for audio quality as top podcasts use them. Let me know what you think bro! |

Pair it with a nice controller and you'll have a decent experience in an untreated room. Within a treated room the MV7/X is on par with some of shure's premier mics over the years. |

I used the cable that came with my Samson Q2U and didn't really like it. I felt like there was an unwanted buzz but I'm assuming it was just cheaply made. I bought a cable off Amazon for like 30 and it has worked flawlessly for my Samson, AT2020 and RE20. People say I should get a GoXLR or something but I for sure prefer hardware over software when it comes to that stuff cause softwares have bugs. Hardware is a little bit more stable and reliable haha. XLR is such a great way to go for audio. USB audio is roughly in the same boat now quality wise but I will always prefer XLR cause of the control and everything you have that you don't with a USB mic. |
