Hi all, im very noob at this please advise me what PC configuration I need to buy to be able render video and use stable diffusion AI sometimes. Now my old laptop generate 1 picture about 5 hours this is painful.

My knowledge around rendering and video editing machines isn't brilliant, so understand this may not be the best choice - other users may be able to point you in a better direction.
However, this is my choice - this build does not include a graphics card; seek after an RTX 2060 (If you wanted to stretch your budget £50-100 more, you could look for a 2070/2080 which I would recommend as stable diffusion AI recommends at least 6-8gb of VRAM, although a 2060 meets the requirements, it may or may not be choppy) on Facebook, Gumtree etc with the rest of the budget, the total comes to £865, giving you not a great deal left to find a graphics card, but if you search on the mentioned sites, you'll be able to find one within the budget, if not, just over (I've had a brief look on Facebook Marketplace myself and seen several 2060 cards for £150-180). I originally made a CPU oriented build with an Intel processor because they offer some high cored CPU's for the price, however the build ended up being the budget price before the graphics card was even in sight. The machine I've got here would (from what I know regarding video editing machines etc) be more than good enough, given you're able to get a graphics card mentioned. Its semi future proof in that it has an overkill power supply, so any future upgrades, this power supply will handle it quite comfortably. You have 2 sticks of 16gb of ram, giving you the option down the line if you wish to add another 2 sticks (making it 64gb), you can. Overall, I'd say this is a solid build and will perform your tasks exceptionally well in comparison to your laptop, giving you the option to upgrade down the line if you wish to, the system also gives you the opportunity to be used for other needs if you ever wish to do so. Thanks for the fast reply, Im not sure about Ryzen processor, I've heard that for EI purposes better to use Intel.

Yeah, Intel would be better in that they provide more cores on the newer models, but if my calculations are correct, that build is over £1000? Totalling about £1100-1200, also including you would need a case on top so at least 1200? But if you're willing to spend that much, that build would be more than good enough, future proof too in that you have a DDR5 board, so if you ever wish to change RAM down the line or upgrade etc, you're able to. |
