Also all of the chapters I already played have gone from the list except chapter one.

I downloaded a save from here but it doesn't show up in the USB when inserted in the console so I must be doing something wrong or the save is the wrong region?. I'm in the UK so need a fully patched save and instructions to make sure I get it right!

I think my PS3 is probably official firmware, the previous owner had deleted all their content. Each game I have tried so far all downloaded patches first so maybe that would confirm it. I'll take a look at those videos and download save resigner.

I tried two different saves from here, the two bottom left on the Uncharted 2 list submitted by Frog & Fth. With PC you can get multiple saves for each level but the PS3 ones all seem to be similar with 100% completion with all treasures etc. Only one mentions the region as US but maybe most of them are?

I was wondering that if I get one to work I'm not sure how I can replay from the start of the Monastery level which was where the game stalled. I guess the only way would be to play it from the list of chapters that would presumably appear on a 100% completion?

I have now tried Uncharted one and that locked up right after an auto save following a long battle with multiple enemies. I played the level again from my own save and it locked up again fairly near the same spot. I'm wondering if the disks are the problem.

Red Dead R 1 was brand new and that plays for hours with no problems so it doesn't sound like the console is faulty, just well played disks probably. The console never gets hot either.

So when I overwrite the save and start the game it loads me on one of the really early levels called desperate times.

There is no option to load another save slot, and annoyingly only one chapter is available - the first one, I was hoping all the chapters would be there so I can just play them in sequence from the Monastery.

It shows I now have 100% of all of the treasures and achievements etc.

So I wonder now why that particular desperate times level loaded and if I try other downloaded saves I might end up with one nearer the end of the game where I can just replay a couple of levels to reach the monastery level.

thanks for the links but not having any luck, the save from Fifth is the one I seemingly used before, either that or they are all using the same save.
I installed it and got all the warnings about another users file etc, selected overwrite all and I'm getting the same Desperate times level and still only one Chapter but with all the treasures etc.

The 79 treasures link sounds promising but I can't fathom out how to activate the zip, I've shared it on to my Google drive but clicking it goes back to what you see when you first click the link you posted which is - USR-DATA so I can't fathom out how to get the actual zip file to open
