I recently just got the Series S and when i upgraded, it doesn't allow me to use the old version of the Xbox companion app to stream my game to my PC (i do this so i can use discord and not need things like a mixamp) So it forced me to upgrade to the Xbox app to stream my game
For the most part it's fine but there are some games (Overwatch/GOW5) that forces me to have the app open on fullscreen on my second monitor or i will get zero sound from the game and other times it just locks my controls until i re-open the App for a second. I can't remember but when the Series X/S came out, someone made a tutorial on cloud streaming after the consoles released and i was wondering if anyone knows if that is a workaround to my issues or if you know any other ways |

I've been messing around with the app for a few days now and figured out a slight workaround if you wanted to watch a video or scroll through another site without having the app in fullscreen
Open the app and start the stream normally, Instead of minimizing the app, just make it windowed and make it small and click onto your browser or anything else you might be using. This way it doesn't mute your game. It does sometimes lock your controls if you AFK for a bit, just open the app again and click off of it and it should fix. |
