Hey Everyone so I bought this cpu to put in my pc AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor. I currently have the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor. When I went to switch out the CPU's and start up the pc with the new one, it would not boot up and put me into bios. I put my old cpu back in and it started up just fine. Any help would be appreciated as I thought this cpu was compatible. |

Hi, can you advise what Motherboard you have, please? and have you checked if your BIOS is up to date?
Thanks |

Is the PC itself an HP prebuild or is it just the motherboard you are using from this? Also, if it's a standard HP device you are upgrading its possible that the new models of Processors are not compatible however, to rule this out can you advise of the HP Service tag/serial number if it's a pre-build? this is often found on the PC case. |
