I picked up this nice mint launch day November 22nd, 2005 (2.0.2241.0) console in my area.

I wanted to turn it into an old entertainment system and lock it into a kiosk for nostalgic/collection purposes. I'd like to know if I can transfer my main gamertag that has been consoled to an Xbox series x to this old Xbox 360. I'd also like to add OG themes and gamer pictures from back then. If anyone knows of a method, that would be awesome and a great way to complete the console. It's been nearly 10+ years since I've done any console modding so any help would be greatly appreciated!

You sort of can put your GT on it. You would need to either, download it on a current dash system and then copy it off the HDD using Horizon, then copy it over to this consoles HDD or you'll have to create a new account with the same GT. It will be offline only though.

I think you can do the same thing for Gamer pictures. Horizon has a Pack creator and a downloader for GamerPics. But where it would be located on the HDD, I'm not too sure. Its been a long time since I've done them.

You won't be able to use a USB for this as USB wasn't supported back then. You'll need to use a transfer cable or dissect the caddy and use a SATA to USB adapter

Awesome, thanks. What if I download it on a current dash, toss it onto one of those Xbox 360 memory cards, and then load it on this console?

It depends if the format is the same. If it is, then yes that would work

During the NXE Dashboard era, they changed the file system. So USBs could then work. But you couldn't easily transfer from blades to a newer NXE.

Give it a try as it may work with memory cards. It's been a long time since I've used one and probably the same for many other users
