Hey Guys,
So I've recently gotten back into RS just playing on my phone for the time being. I've recovered my RS3 account surprisingly after a couple years of being inactive and I've also started playing OSRS. I'm interested to see which version is your go to game. I'm a fan of OSRS but the graphics on RS3 have me leaning more towards it. Let's see what your guys thoughts are! |

From someone who played both games a fair amount, Its all preference. Neither are bad but RS3 in particular i would never go into the game as a normal account, Only as a ironman (non trading/no GE profile) simply because as a regular account, Rs3 shoves MTX down your throat at every given moment. Battle passes, Ugly cosmetics, Extra EXP chests/rolls/2xp weekends the list goes on.
As someone who had a near-maxed account, i thought id give it a try for about 2 months and honestly it wasn't bad, I'm just not a fan of everything degrading. The game is so cluttered that it would take hours to explain how to efficiently do your dailies. I ended up getting around 2 level 100 skills and a couple of 99's and nearly 5b in cash from one of the events that was running, I ended up going back to OSRS out of boredom. Some of the new skills in rs3 are honestly not bad at all, Archeologly comes to mind, Its a tedious skill done right. I ended up getting it to level 100 (it goes to 120) and i honestly had a pretty good time. As for OSRS, It's mainly a solo game until you can do raids. And at that point if you haven't made friends, its rough to get into unless someone is willing to teach you, Which a lot of people on TTG are, But for the average joe, its pretty hard to get into. If you had a PC i would say just play em both at the same time, While you afk on OSRS you can play rs3 and vice versa. They both have very afk skills in them. Stats: |

My opinion is extremely biased but I would never actively try to play Runescape 3. I've been playing OSRS for 8 years now (I'm taking a very long break currently) and I can honestly say I've logged on to RS3 a couple of times to try and give it a chance but I really feel "lost" trying to play it. Not graphics wise or anything of the sort, I just feel like there's too much right off the bat and I honestly can't get it down to actually feel motivated to play. Of course, I could learn but I'm at a stage where I really don't want to learn a new game's mechanics.
I love OSRS because of it's mind-numbing easy-going pace. I can literally lean back in my chair and while you do have to pay attention, it's not a constant necessity to look at the screen. The simplicity of the game is what gets me. I can barely manage 5 minutes of RS3 but I sure as hell can run 3 Runelite windows with my main doing passive slayer training, woodcutting on my skiller and running an Amethyst alt at the same time with absolutely no problem. |

I'm maxed on rs3, had a different range tank account for osrs that got hacked because I didn't put 2 factor on it. Never played much of osrs after that. |
