A lot of people, think they know, a lot more, then they actually do. And I just wanted to make a quick post. This forum is to try and lead by example. One common thing we all do, when trying to be more efficient is to learn something new, is to go on the wiki, ask a friend or for most of us - go to youtube and watch a video. You can get all the right answers from doing these things, and most of the time, probably should do those things anyway, but there is one problem. Without doing whatever you are trying to learn, for YOURSELF, you will still be lacking actual experience.

You know what your supposed to do, what to bring, when to switch, when to pray, what to eat and when, you know everything. BUT, what you don't know, is what is going to HAPPEN.

So, to make sure you don't waste your time, gp, your energy and lose out on what your trying to do, like learning a new boss for example. After you get all the information is needed for whatever activity your trying to accomplish/learn, just go do it. Stop the question-asking, stop the endless amounts of watching tutorials/guides, no more wiki or reddit searches and comment reading ect. But go give it a shot and get some in-game experience on the actual task. Information is great, but to a certain extent. Otherwise, you get trapped in a almost endless cycle of preparation. I spent more time preparing to take on Vorkath on my first couple days, then I did actually playing the game. And I did this on RS3 several times. And all it did? Was waste MY TIME!

Take what you need from the information, and get your hands dirty! Don't overprepare, because you might not need to anyway!

I agree with this and think this is the best way to play, I personally try to run in and do stuff prior to consulting a guide just to get a feel for it, and if it's content that might have more to it I may watch a video to gain some confidence. I find this games community in general is pretty elitist in how you should do stuff too and to me that sounds like a nice way to burn out.

exactly. which im assuming there are very few elitists on here. Or the ones that are, are hopefully more towards the side of, wanting to help teach the others in their community. Like just because someone dies a few times, doesn't mean that the player is garbage at the game, right? lmao

Yeah that's kind of what I am getting at. It bothers me when people are so snobby, because not everyone has best in slot items for every boss in the game lol. Hoping we can kind of get something going on.
