My friend is currently going for his licence and he's keeps telling me to do mine but I'm in two minds about it.

Thank you dude!
Well, if trucking is something you enjoy then I say go for it.
The people I met at work are all passionate about it, so I guess this is that type of job that only passionate people do.

Yeah exactly that, I'm still undecided what I want to go 100% invested into that I'm passionate about. Hope it comes around soon though im 24 now

Congrats Samfs!! There are a ton of beautiful rigs here in the US and I'm sure there are just as many where you're from. Idk what the pay is like over there but here, big money comes from hazmat and oversized loads. Best of luck to ya and be safe out there

Smellybuds, don't stress out too much just because you're 24.' I'm 26 and have decided that I want to pursue my passion of heavy equipment operating. I know plenty of people that have found their life route already. Give it some time and try new things. You may end up loving something you would've never thought and can pursue it as a career

Thanks, Allergies!
I don't know what the pay is like because I just started, so I'll find out at the end of this month.
But everyone says oversized loads, hazmat, live animals and car transporter have the highest pay.
There are beautiful rigs in europe aswell, this company I'm driving for mainly uses Renault, but I'd love to hop on a Scania or Volvo one day.
Those are the two most well known and best reputed brands here in Europe, and the most beautiful trucks in my opinion!

I'm sure over there is similar to here in the sense of you need a couple years of experience as well as extra licensing to do those higher paying jobs. Stay on that grind, I'm glad you enjoy it so much! Makes it not always feel like work. In the US, my favorite rigs are Peterbilt. I'll have to look into the ones you mentioned!

Exactly, and the longer you work for a company, the higher you get paid.
Hell yes dude, Peterbilt is awesome, Kenworth too!
I kind of wish we had those long-nose trucks here in Europe, it's mostly cab-overs.
