Thinking of getting a new GPU, think it's the next thing to upgrade in my build. Wanted to get some suggestions, was looking at like a 4060 but don't think it's a big enough difference for me to spend a lot of money on it so willing to spend more money for a significant difference.
Used primarily for gaming, and programming (irrelevant here). Have a 360hz monitor but only play on 1080p, would be cool to around 360fps on some less demanding titles like Fortnite, CS, Valorant etc. Played The First Descendent and realised my PC isn't too great, still get like 80-100 FPS on low settings but I have money to upgrade and I want to. you are bottle necking with that cpu and gpu but with your budget any 3070 or higher would be perfect and they are not as high priced but i would recommend a 4070 or so would set you up for next 2 years or so. |

BossYuno wrote you are bottle necking with that cpu and gpu Bottlenecking what? OP - RTX 4060 is a pretty substantial upgrade from a GTX 1660. The RTX 4060 is a pretty mediocre offering though IMHO. Honestly, if it were me, I wouldn't even consider NVidia at this point, I'd just buy the best AMD GPU I can afford. With your budget, RTX 4070 Super is probably the NVidia option to go with, can be had for around 550 quid. If you go AMD, a little over £600 gets you an RX 7900XT which is a much better GPU than a 4070 Super IMO. Alternatively, you can get a 7800XT which would save over £100 compared to a 4070 Super. Slightly poorer performance but more VRAM. Also better drivers with AMD these days IMO. If you care about raytracing performance in any way whatsoever though, NVidia is pretty much your only option lol. techspot.com/review/2791-nvidia-g...070-super/ |
