Hey guys so me and my wife are in the hospital we just got here a little bit ago and we're relaxing in our room and she's in early labor. I was just wondering if anybody has any tips for me as what to do and not to do or ways to comfort her. |

When the baby is starting to crown yell at her, it'll cause cortisol to be released which will counter the stress and is a natural anti inflammatory |

Speaking from experience.
You are her advocate, if you discussed prior to on what she wanted her experience like. Follow that. Get her stress balls, a heating blanket, a slight hip massage to release tension. You are her advocate and her mind will not be 100% there. If she wants something go get it for her. Mines wanted Pho and i drove and got it and came back with it. When she's plugged in to all those monitors and needs to get up, help her up and carry those cords and that stand with them on it. Make her feel special and thank her. Let her know that she is creating life. It's an intense time and the human body is amazing and what it can go through for birth. Remember too that she is putting her own life at risk. It's a very rare occurrence but the mother could die from child birth. She is giving a lot for this. Good luck man, it is worth it 100% |
