Anyone else beyond frustrated with this happening? Seems rather scummy on Activision's end.

Considering they kept it on sale until the day H2M was released seems like it was on purpose. Was really looking forward to it.

Was in the Discord VC yesterday when Fraud leaked the files on X. Crazy that 3 hours before release they get C&D. I already got my refund but still, shit had me hype.

Hearing that there is a certain discord server that's working on getting it out. Could be wrong though.

I literally refunded it as soon as the announcement came. There is also alot of stuff going on twitter about it atm too.

Mike "Rxqe" whatever he wants to be known as is a moron.

He was adamant that making the mod use Steam DRM would prevent this from happening. Then what does he do? Give access to every CoD YouTube personality he can possibly think of. What could go wrong with showing this to 5M+ subscribers on a single channel though?

Great move when you're trying to fly under the radar.

Hopefully nobody other than him is surprised at how shitty Activision is though. This shouldn't be news to anyone.
Hope nobody actually bought and played MWR.

That really sucks... but sadly it isn't surprising. They should definitely be refunding customers, but it seems like it could be a murky / grey area where they may not be legally required to do so.

I was never going to buy BO6 in the first place, I haven't bought a cod since BO3 so they will continue to lose fans acting this way

MWR was trending #2 with sales on the steam store. I don't see why people were/would buy the game anyways at this point especially with the release of BO6 soon. I understand the reasons why the project was shut down, and it seemed kinda inevitable as other projects like SM2 received the same treatment, but in this case it seemed as though the release was providing a positive impact for both Activision and independent mod creators because of the mod being locked behind the purchase of the game.

I had hopes with the release of MW2 remastered because I believed it would bring a similar experience that H2M was going to provide but we just keep getting what feels like expansions of the previous with minor resemblance/feel of the old games we were hoping for.

bit of a rant here but I just think its frustrating watching a billion dollar company shutting down players trying to relive the old games with otherwise shutdown/empty live services
