Not sure what I'm thinking but here's my options:
1. Upgrade my 4060 to a 6950XT / 7800XT (budget will have to be around £500 max £600) not sure if I'll need to upgrade my CPU beyond that as I currently have i5 14400F, not sure if that's any good.(used GPU's are perfectly good) Option 2. Sell my PC and start from scratch on an Ryzen CPU/GPU. In all honesty, what I'm looking for is solid performance in 1440p - highest FPS at the budget I have. Don't mind if parts are used either. Please help me out? Thank you |

Really late to the party if you haven't upgraded already! If so congrats!
What size PSU are you currently running? |

Ghost wroteTom-The-Gamer wroteGhost wroteTom-The-Gamer wrote Really late to the party if you haven't upgraded already! If so congrats! I am going off of AMDs website. Minimum is 850w. amd.com/en/products/graphics/desk...50-xt.html You could probably get away from 750 depending on the rest of your power demand? Overclocking anything? I'm factoring in other things minus a GPU. I power draw 600-800 depending on game and resolution. EDIT: i just rather be safe than sorry when I'm spending X amount of money on something like this. |

Good power supplies can handle transient loads (spikes) beyond their rating.
Good power supplies will also not damage anything if you draw too much and cause them to shut off. What model power supply do you have? You should only upgrade if it's a BAD 750w. |
