I have also heard on many forums the 7800x3d is the best cpu on the current market.

It really varies on the use case, 7800x3d is pretty dominant in terms of performance however i've never really seen a need to upgrade from second gen r9 yet. I have a 5950x in a separate build that is pretty much on par to my 3950x.

I'm interested to see the real world tests for the new intel lineup. Could finally see some half decent competition again if they go well. AMD just held a new even for their AI development side of things yesterday. A few things were hinted on the consumer/prosumer side of things.

Depends on the situation really.

Personally, I would consider the 5700X3D one of the best CPU's in a long time. The 5800X3D was the final nail in the coffin for Intel IMO, and the 5700X3D was essentially the same CPU but ridiculously good value.

yeah, when i did this post, i was in the middle of my build and went with the ryzen 9 9950x and i love this thing, its a beast for all the things i do haha
