the mall in my hometown has been decaying for years. used to go there all the time as a kid, every call of duty midnight release was at the gamestop in that mall, going to see santa when i was super young at christmas time, etc...

i don't see them doing anything like this with it though. it'll probably sit empty until it crumbles.

It's interesting and a cool idea but I'm very much against the addition of more apartments.
