cheap way to get the case is to search ebay for a faulty mw3 slim console then just swap the case onto your console. I have seen faulty mw3 slims on ebay in the past buy it now price at around £3 ...

Just to update anybody that's interested, I removed the gpu but the laptop is still having the same problem.

Something else on the board must be shorting somewhere

I have an i7 laptop that was worth over £1000 when released. I got it faulty for around £150 so great bargain.

It depends on what console you are modding, I prefer to use Coolrunner and do RGH 1.2 on phat consoles but i like the matrix better for slim consoles.

But either will work its just my preference.
