He'd be the first here if we lost

So true. So, I've said:

1. City
2. United
3. Chelsea
4. Arsenal

From what I saw of the game, United were pretty fortunate to get 3 points from Southampton today.

Still, they played themselves into a defeat (excluding the failure to see the offside) so can't really blame United for beating what's in front of them.

Martial looks like a composed finisher. Vaguely knew of him from the French league but impressed on how quickly he's acclimatised to top flight English football. Good on him.

I don't understand that. We were fortunate that our goalkeeper saved shots? And we were fortunate that we finished our chances? First 30 minutes we were mugged off by Southampton. Martial took advantage of a tackle on Mata and punished them. He then took advantage of a poor backpass and punished them further. Memphis mugged their defence off and hit the post, and then Mata hit in the rebound. For the last 5 minutes of the game, Southampton took the momentum (see Pelle goal).

We beat them. Dominated game play, with 59% possesion. They had 8 shots on target, scoring two. We had 3 shots on target, scoring 3. Clinical. 6 shots on target in our last 2 games, 6 goals scored.

Also, anyone see the dive from Mane? Should've been a card.

I didn't mean fortunate in that sense. Rather more fortunate in the sense that Southampton controlled both beginning and the end of the game and couldn't get enough goals out of it. Also a little fortunate in that one of the goals came from an offside and another came for a poor backpass that given different circumstances, might not have happened.

You seem to have misinterpreted what I said. United got the win and should be happy with it. I just mean that if I were a Southampton fan, I'd be pretty gutted that they lost because they had the chances to win, just weren't clinical enough.

I just can't wait till we properly gel. I think our strongest XI (after seriously thinking now) for the rest of the season would be this:

De Gea
Darmian Smalling Blind Rojo
Schneiderlin Schweinsteiger(rotate with Carras)
Mata(Young rotate) Rooney(Herrera rotate) Memphis(Young rotate)
Martial

Not sure if you're including injuries at this time but don't ever include Rojo at LB again, he poor at LB

That spot belongs to Shaw

The rest I agree

I can't wait until Chelsea are back to full strength, which will come eventually. A fully inform front four of Hazard, Oscar, Pedro and Costa could rip through any defence.

Zouma is the real deal and will now be a regular starter and Cahill has improved recently. I was listening to a video and the Chelsea fans were saying if the partnership of Zoum and Cahill continues to grow strong then it will be hard to see JT getting back in to the first team, which I agree with, they also said it could be the first signs of the transition of JT slowly being taken out, which again it's a possibility.

I'm not worried about Azpi he's never really been that poor at all this season, Ivanovic was an improvement against Arsenal but it is only 1 game, if he shows signs of poor form in upcoming games, then again questions will be raised. Matic was solid against arsenal, again I don't think he's been that poor so far, he's just been looking poorer at his own role because Cesc wasn't doing his job so Matic had to do both, that changed vs Arsenal when Cesc looked much improved.

Still want to see more of RLC and Baba when possible

Fair assesment. I think that Mou will have galvinized his squad enough to get them hitting top form again. But teams will actively seek the win against your lot now, like they have done with us since Moyes. They smell blood, and you'll have a tough few games.

@Fielding

don't be like that now , You know i comment on wins , draws , Losses of all teams.I comment when we win , When we lose , When UTD win , When utd lose etc.

The reason i haven't commented (Up until now) is that it was my first day in univirsity today and i went out drinking with some dormmates.

Its currently 1.42 in the morning , Have a induction at 9 tommorow , Just got back but as you mentioned me i thought ill comment.

So after a quick look , You won 3-2 , Martial 2 mata 1 as you said , No idea who scored for soton.

Martial , Fair play.3 goals in 2 games for a young one , In his first 2 games is impressive , If he keeps it up , good signing but as you say lets not put all our eggs in one basket.

In terms of the ex chelsea boy , I willl always respect him and rate as one of (If not the) best CAMs in the league , Don't know what you expect me to say to that one.

Anyway impressive win , Not sure about the other results , CBA to check as i gotta wake up in like 5 hours for inductions.

But to mention me and say "I wonder why Complete hasn't commented" is a bit harsh , I will always be in this forum giving my opinion , Sometimes i might not give the opinion straght away , It seems as if i go out , And don't give a comment on a game as soon as it happens I'm somehow made out to be a bad commenter or something lmao.

Like when i didn't comment on the chelsea game (Cp was it ? , Cant even remember) , I went out that night so didn't comment on game till day after but was "Expsoed" by lounge for not comementing straight away....
