Rooney played poor, but if you were watching the game on ITV you'd have known that they were having trouble with that corner, due to it being extremely muddy.

Italy was always gonna be the toughest match in this group, still think we will go through. Drop Rooney vs Uruguay and never ever bring on Wilshere/Lallana again and we should be fine.

Let's be honest though our supposedly world class players were absolutely shocking, no excuses apart from Rooney was playing out of position a lot of the game but should've done better either way.

We'll have lost so much confidence now though, already chasing after the first game, if we can win the next two games though we could still go through. So disappointing though.

I don't know about anyone else but I thought Rooney and Baines down the left just didn't work. We were far too exposed and paid the price for it.
