Dan wroteKyogo wroteDan wroteKyogo wroteDan wroteKyogo wroteDan wroteKyogo wroteDan wroteKyogo wroteDan wrote It should be a competition with each of the champions from the european nations, regardless of how shite some of them are. It would actually make for good viewing if you take the Welsh champion playing against the north Macedonian champion for example |

Literally, it's the champions league ffs, spurs the champions of the dusty cabinet getting in.
Tbf tho The New Saints get UCL but always get dogged in quals cause well, welsh league lmao. Scottish Prem is miles above Welsh and Irish league football just a shame i'll probably never see Wrexham play UCL in my life time. |

Welsh teams would be fked if it ever went to champions of leagues playing champions league seeing as some of them are in the English pyramid. Wonder if they'd move back if the prize was champions league |

That's what the whole thing was, they all left the welsh cup and that cause you couldn't qualify for europe through it, then it changed, then they were invited back and most of them said nah. They wouldn't leave English football now there's too much money in it. |

Premier league has its pull too but you can't really say that since the Welsh teams haven't been in it for a while. That's why Celtic and rangers have better teams than 95% of the championship, yet we play in a poor league. It's how we make our money too. Welsh football would be so much better for wales if Cardiff and Swansea and even Wrexham returned to the league. Hard to advertise football though to a nation who primarily watch rugby. Understandable though because they are shit hot rugby players. |

I couldn't have put it better myself honestly, we're such a rugby culture country and that's because we have so much success in it. Look back over the last hundred years of welsh football and the only notable moment was Wales v Belgium. I'd love to see Cardiff and Swansea play in the Welsh Cup along side Wrexham, not sure how i'd feel about a return to the Welsh League system after what we've done in English football. With the FA Cup and Energy Drink shit cup we do get to see Welsh Teams compete but they never make it far. The Cymru Premier is century's behind Scotland, just not enough money, home grown talent etc. GAA arguably more popular than the Irish football league. Everyone in Wales, no matter who you supported when Newport County got as far as they did in the FA Cup everyone was watching. That should be every year not once in a blue moon. |

Would like to see some money put into the welsh teams but i think id rather see it go to the welsh league rather than the teams who currently play in England. It could be quite a competitive league with cardiff swansea wrexham newport etc if they all had the money to compete against each other. A shame really. The Scottish league doesnt have the money either but it has the support. Making champions league for us (i.e making 30 million quid) is absolutely life changing. |
