Think you're right.. It is a shame though that if you do spend what the papers/media are predicting, you would surpass Man City in their "Pay to Win" philosophy.

Not meant to be a dig, but I think it is a shame more and more big clubs are just flashing their cash every window.


If we could I'd rather spend 80m on ronaldo since he's 30 this year, and he's such an athlete he'll continue well into his 30s. 115m on Bale, rather not bother

I really like Danny Ings, I hope he doesn't go to Liverpool! he should take a smaller step than that, Swansea maybe?

I personally think even though both will heighten any squad by being part of it, with LVG struggling to get your forwards minutes because you have such an abundance, the money would be better spent just forcing huge defenders through - 115mil would be enough to buy your Lahms and your Thiago Silvas (not that Lahm would ever leave Bayern xD)

if we get rid of balo we have, Sturridge/Ings/Lambert/Borini.

Tricky with these kind of signings though, because he has proven he can play in the prem, but not yet proven he's consistent enough to play for a huge club.

I agree a smaller club with better premier league stability would be well suited to him, but if he doesn't go big now, he may miss the boat entirely - there have been many players who have played well in a relegation club who have just flopped at mid-table sides and put a dead end to their careers.

Liverpool should be looking for another player like Suarez, the defensive flaws last season were overlooked since you always out scored opponents... balo/Sturridge could not replicate the partnership of Suarez and Sturridge

that is a decent price to be fair but you could probably get him for a bit less with him only having 6 months left on his contract.

He plays best with someone next to him who wins the flick ons so not sure what him and Sturridge will be like together. He's only young though he should improve a fair bit
