-Fletcher wrote I'm not being deliberately cynical because he is a United player - you should know me enough by now to know I don't do that - I wouldn't care if he was an Arsenal player - the reality is, he hasn't shown in any sense that he is a wonderkid, and the next new talent for England. Its not like I've been parading the forums saying "wow, this Chupa Akpom guy is something special".

I'd be happy to be proven wrong obviously, but I don't see him breaking into the England squad with the young talent we already have, and he's be fighting with Sturridge for a place at ST for a long time.

I know you wouldn't etc.

Its just a thought, but if you watch United there are 2 Strikers that actually make the team seem more lively... Wilson and Falcao. Wilson is more of a threat on the pitch when we play, cause boy can he ping them, the balls stuck to his feet and he's fearless. Id gladly start him ahead of RVP.

But Wilson is only just 19, he turned it 8 days before me haha

I honestly dont get people / media regarding english talent , This is literally the pattern.

Commentator/media/people - Oh did you see (Young/unproven english talent here) score a goal the other day?

Other commentator/media/people - Yep he is going to be the next (Insert big player here) and is going to be a england first team regular.

2 years later

Commenatator/media/people - Where did it all go wrong for (Player talked about before)

Other commentator/media/people - He just didnt live up to his potential.

Its so dumb - They build players up just to knock them back down - If you are english , Your decent and you break into a first team (PL) at a youngish age - Your instantly the next big thing.

Im not talking about this James kid , Im talking about in general - Though i doubt he will become anything special and refuse to buy into the hype of him (And others like Wilshere/Kane etc)

How many other young talents are regarded as currently better than one of the most clinical strikers of the last 10 years? (RVP).

I'm not being bias btw, I just really rate the kid. I also (as much as i despise the club) regard sterling as one of the future world class players

Yeah Fielding, I mean I agree with Brad, its not necessarily his fault he hasn't merited substantial praise as he's competing with Falcao/RVP/Rooney and even on occasion Di Maria - he should go out on loan somewhere he can get minutes then we'll be able to judge properly

and in other news - Liverpool scrape past Bolton with a late equaliser and winner.. Wow..

Had 2 bets on today (Well had alot more but w/e)

One was liverpool and Ivoary coast wins and the other was RM/Liverpool/Napoli/Ivoary coast

Both were losing (As liverpool was losing at the time and Napoli were drawing) ,Liverpool got the winner last minute and napoli scored in like the 94th min to win both bets xD

So lucky haha.

Yeah I see where you're coming from you can't judge a player by their record playing in the under-21s and having a few good games in the first team.
Also we haven't really seen him play many full games as playing for 30minutes can make you look excellent but in the long run could he keep it up for 90mins.

But I think Kane is going to be a very good footballer and hopefully good for England, although one player won't make a difference to that dreadful squad we can the England first team. Looks good on paper, but they don't connect at all.
