Brad- wroteSenate wrote Opting for United at the mo. Haha Jan Vertonghen or Varane, which one is more likely for me to say a source suggests hahaha! No, it's more the fact he feels first team opportunity is more likely at the reds than the other clubs |

Senate wroteBrad- wroteSenate wrote Opting for United at the mo. Really? Considering JT is ageing and we need a young CB who is young (To devolop with Hazard , Oscar , Azpi etc) and Cahill aint doing so well right now , He could possibly line up with Zouma and imagine them 2 learning and developing together. Im actually calling it , Thats going to happen - He is coming here , Cahill will be back up or leave , JT will be phased out (As a winner - As we are winning the leauge this season) and Zouma and Varane will be our CBs and we will be unstoppable with Courtois in net. |

Agreed, but think he'll become more of a Rio type role back in 2011/12/12/13 where he was really just played on big occasions where experience was needed, or kept on standby to sweep up any possible problems |

I'd have to disagree, he is an integral part of this Chelsea side & is vital in keeping them together. I'd say that without any injuries, he will play 75% of games next season at a very minimum |

Would definitely be surprised, as with Zouma performing the way he is, and having had a good taste of 1st team footy, I'm sure he'll be hungry to get a spot, and say you do sign Varane/Hummels, there is no way it'd suffice to leave them on the bench. |

If we were to sign Varane, I'd still play Terry with either Zouma or Varane alongside him. Now obviously in your small FA cup games etc. you can play with them both, but Mourinho isn't exactly a fan of changing about and rotating the defence, that is a HUGE change to the entire defence in leaving out Terry and I feel that in many games we will suffer the consequences. Just look at United when they lost their experienced defenders at once |

I find it utterly strange that even experienced CB's are crumbling, look at the Kompany and Mangala partnership, been terrible! I honestly think that Zouma + Terry is the best Chelsea one for now, United's being Rojo and Jones. I also think Rojo is rapidly becoming one of the leagues best CB's. |
