Due an upgrade soon, and I'm thinking on rather going for the iPhone 8 Plus or X
I've always just used my 6 and It's done me fine but with all new hardware and firmware out definitely need to get rid of this banger! Now I'm pretty sure both phones come with 12MP cameras which is a must for me because I take alot of pictures. My friend has the X and I'm not sure I enjoy it too much without the home button etc except there isn't much bezel as the screen takes up the whole phone which is pretty good. I've also heard that the iPhone 8 Plus is way too big and heavy for a phone. I have quite big hands slo It's not a problem but has anyone by any chance had both of these phones or one in which they can give me some info on. There's around 13$ difference per month which doesn't sound that much but over a few years. I'd rather go for the 8plus if the X isn't what it cracks up to be. Cheers for your time and I appreciate any reply, Have a good day. |

Have you thought about any other models?
iPhone's are great, but there are very similar (if not better) models out there. I personally think about what I need the phone for. If I needed it for work I always go for a Samsung as they are great for checking emails quickly and easily. If I just want it for apps and socialising then maybe I'll go for a Samsung or iPhone. I personally like the Samsung Galaxy or even the Google Pixel. The latest version of both those models looks pretty good! |

I use to have the IPhone X, it took me a minute to get use to but once you do it's honestly a great phone. You can add a feature where it can have a "virtual home button" but it has good picture quality for Netflix and YouTube. I never had the 8 so I can't really give an insight on that lol. |

It really comes down to preference. The phones relative performance isn't major across model to model. The X/XR or whatever Apples new scheme is would likely be the best out there. Don't just limit yourself to Apple though. There are many other phones that for price/perf are pretty good. Take Samsung's newer lineup with the S9/S9+. I still use my 7/8+ comfortably for daily drivers with minimal slowdown since purchase.
The only reason i would hold out on Apple right now is the fact their sales are MUCH lower than expected which will mean a production cut or hold and price increase eventually until they can cover themselves again. Whereas at least on the Android side of the market the prices are rather stable over time. |
