Well, rs3 is extremely cluttered even for someone who came back to it late 2015, it took me about 3-4 months to get the hang of everything, so ill just give you the basics of everything you should know and how to set up.
First things first, there is no dominant fighting style any more, they are all very good, melee for dps, ranged for speed, and mage for burst damage. If you want to get used to the game id advise you to use revolution fighting style https://i.imgur.com/1ntX915.png What this does it auto casts your abilities in your abilities in the yellow section of your attack bar for you so you don't have to WoW the game with hotkeys. It gets you through pretty much everything early on. You can get there by pressing Esc > Options > gameplay and under combat. Also in that category, you can find the attack stances (pretty much what you'd want to level up, it's pretty hidden which is stupid.) https://i.imgur.com/NceQDEE.png If you haven't yet, you should work towards on finishing the quest "Plague's End" it pretty much unlocks the endgame area of rs3. It gives you a new slayer master, and a big city, Aka "High level GE" As for things to go for, work towards the "Kiln" capes, its a pretty easy minigame, think of it as a "hard" version of jad. You'll have to go through it 3 times in 3 different combat setups to earn each of the capes. Just look up a video on it and you'll understand it, its a very easy minigame once you go through it once. To start it, you need to sacrifice one of your Fire Capes. As for the P2W, there's one thing that you should probably buy. It's a legendary pet, what it does for you is every other drop, it'll run over the item and pick it up for you, pretty much making it easy on the hands while slaying bulk monsters. Also, work towards getting curses, if you haven't yet. They're extremely crucial for afking slayer tasks. There's plenty more things you'll want to make your life a lot easier, but those are the 4 main things i think you should work towards when first starting again. It made my life a hella lot easier. As for the Best in slot armors, its pretty much the degradable T90 armours. Sirenic, Ranged Techtonic, Mage Malevolent, Melee They all take 50,000 hits before degrading to dust, which to be honest. I played the game like 3-5 months straight and i think its around 10k hits left throughout all 3 i used. As for weapons, the best are: Drygore/Noxious scythe. The differences are drygores are cheaper, dual wield and have prayer bonus. While the scythe has higher dps but way more expensive. But it can make a kill go from 2:30 to 1:40 with the scythe. Ascension crossbows/Noxious bow, They're both on the expensive side, but the bow has more accuracy for those defensive bosses while the crossbows have more dps since they're faster. Depends on what you plan on fighting. Noxious staff/Seismic wand and singularity, Same thing like the crossbows and bow, one has high accuracy and one has high dps, but in this case, the dps is very expensive compared to the accuracy setup (around 250m+ more) |
