Hey so I recently just built myself a pretty good build If I say so myself.
GTX 1070 OC 8GB i5 9600k coffeelake 16GB 2400 Corsair RAM Yes, I am gaming on a 60HZ 1080p monitor currently, so I thought the setup I have would be rather overkill and honestly Fortnite is having a hard time even staying @ 60 frames consistently when I see people it begins dropping into the 50s and 40s, Sometimes even the 30s if there is enough people around. Everything seems to be working on the hardware side as far as I'm aware with the fans running. I did buy this card off ebay in excellent used condition, the guy had very high rep but could that have anything to do with it as well. I just want my games at the fps it deserves lol. Drivers are up-to-date as well Ive already used the videos to optimize the Nvidia control panel too. Please help me come up with a solution? Has anyone else ever had a similar problem? |

I just built a 8600k with a 1070 for my little cousin and it was holding 90-120 FPS on my living room 4k tv.
If you don't have vsync on, then I think you may have a faulty card. |

SHOTTYLEAN wrote I just built a 8600k with a 1070 for my little cousin and it was holding 90-120 FPS on my living room 4k tv. See that ridiculous. I would hate to blame the hardware but that is a last resort until I do everything as far as the software side of things. Ill come back later to update |

Download HWMonitor and keep an eye on temps, utilisation, and frequency of your CPU, RAM and GPU.
You absolutely shouldn't be having any issues achieving beyond 60FPS in Fortnite with that set-up, so something is wrong. We won't be able to tell you what exactly is wrong without more info. |
