Hey,
I'm building my first PC and while removing the thermal paste from the CPU with a nail polish remover, a few has gone to the bottom of the processor...
As you can see on the photos, the corner of the CPU has a slightly different color and I'm really worried, did I made a huge mistake and that will damage my CPU?

I depends if the nail polish remover contained acetone or not. If it contains acetone derivatives it may alter some of the color and not harm it at all, or you may have killed it. A lot of people use nail polish remover and don't really have issues. The only way to really find out is to make sure it's dry and put it back in.

Ugh... Ok thank you, I'll put it in, finish the build and see if it works ^^
