Hi friends it me Saki
Some of you already know about the little adventure I took last week. Some of you don't though, so why not share some pictures I took? I posted a couple shots around the day I went, but I've saved some for when I made this thread. Place I went to is called Anime Pavilion in Springfield, Virginia. The outside is rather mundane but it's what on the inside that counts right? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/343238771137052693/524689854508957707/image1.jpg Walking in uh, there's another less than desirable view but hey I don't really care how it looks as long as it has cool stuff to browse. In a way it's kinda cool to see boxes stacked full of manga and anime merch.

Very cool to see but lots of the figs were out of my price range (most were $150+!). A little cramped but I was too busy taking everything in to mind.

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/343238771137052693/524689855054086154/image3.jpg Of course I couldn't leave without getting anything so this was the haul. Buy 3 manga get the 4th free so not too bad for being a mom n pop store. (Yes I know I got book 1 6 and 7, I even asked the nice lady behind the counter if she had 2 and 3 and she opened multiple boxes for me but couldn't find them. I'll take what I can get.)
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/343238771137052693/527941965375864854/image0.jpg So yeah nothing too crazy but It was a fun little drive out to Springfield which is actually quite a bit away from my city, but it was worth it in the end. Was it a particularly stunning looking store? No, but I don't really expect anything from an anime oriented store other than anime so I'd say its a nice experience overall. If you live in the Northern Virginia / DC area and you're a huge weeb definitely check them out. |
