I'm interested in VR. But I don't want to do a whole room setup because I don't really have the space for that. Is a Vive or HTC still worth getting if all I'm going to do is sit at my computer desk? Do you need sensors or can you play games standing without them? I've never really looked into them...

I have an Oculus Rift and my room is tiny. About 10x6ft to be exact. It can be a little tough to use on some games but It is enough to do the job. Highly recommend the Rift.

You will likely need to be standing in the middle of your room if you have a small room. Sitting wont work well with sensors at your desk unless you put the chair in the middle of your room

Getting a VR to just sit at your desk is very pointless lol

Yeah, I agree. I just remember there was a game where you tried keeping your hands on the keyboard and like spiders and such came at you.. so I was thinking there would be a lot more like that. I also kinda thought you could use the headset and play games where you just stood still but I'm assuming you need the sensors and such which is a no go for me...
