Hi Guys,

I have noticed a small change to my Spotify where when playing music from a bluetooth device such as my car, friends car and bluetooth speakers, on certain notes the song cracks, doesn't pops (extremely hard to explain).

I have tried everything from reinstalling the app, clearing cache, factory resetting my cars infotainment system... Youtube plays absolutely perfectly through bluetooth. It's 100% Spotify.

My question: does anyone have the same problem recently and anyone have any tips for fixing it?

Running: Samsung S9+, Android version: 8.0.0.

Note: I have just updated Spotify to version: 8.4.85.1006

You need to go into your sound settings on your phone, and scroll all the way down to where it says UHQ upscaler. Enable it.
Should fix your problem.

All songs, downloaded or not. My streaming setting is set to Very High. As mentioned I did just update the app, I will test this on my lunch break to see if it has improved.

That was on Spotify within the app as well as clearning from the app option under settings.

Try enabling volume normalization in Spotify settings

Honestly sometimes it can have something to do with the sound system of the vehicle. My old chevy used to "sizzle" over bluetooth, eventually annoyed me enough i just went and got an aux cord. Bluetooth is convenient sure but you do lose sound quality and there always has to be perfect parameters for it to work 100%.

For it to happen in my car, my friends car and a bluetooth speaker I wouldn't of thought it was the car. Whether it's some codec within Spotify I'm not sure.

Really bugging me tho
