yo so i been trying to find info about this but i cant.. so pretty much i have a xbox one headset but I've been using my 360. I got the 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter to plug the headset into my 360 controller and i was wanting to know if its possible to hear game and party volume through it? is there a setting i need to turn on because i cant get it to work.. i can talk through it to others but cant hear sound and YES i have tried Preferences>Voice>play through headset it doesn't work..... WHICH comes to my second question. because that doesn't work is it possible to use the xb1 headset with the xb1 controller with one guide as my 360 is connected to my 1?? i need to buy the adapter because i have the og xb1 but don't wanna buy it if it wont work but does anyone think that could be a solution? like does one guide volume work through headset or only through tv ? sorry if its confusion its a brain f* to me as well i tried to explain it as well as i could |

Don't think it's possible man because I know headsets now days are made for PS4 and Xbx1 and PC, usually they make the headset where they only work for them 3. Using a Xbox one headset for the 360 will most likely not let you get the full potential of the headset, a ESPECIALLY since your using a adapter. Definitely recommend you calling Microsoft, I tried searching online and there's hard to find anything. |

They are saying if you have a 3.5mm adaptor you shouldn't have any problems hearing the game volume or people. |

The agent from Microsoft said its maybe the controller, have you tried using another controller? They also said it might be the adaptor. |
