So my dad is a nurse he just does basic stuff with his computer like browse the internet Facebook and likes to answer questions on nursing boards but also he is a writer and likes so research things. I want to build him a PC that will last him is current one is an HP from Walmart and is getting old and is very slow, I would like to have a graphics card in there not a beefy one but maybe something he can play some old school games on and have a good time, I know emulators don't take much to run but who knows maybe I will get him into newer games lol.
Budget & Currency: Not really an issue would like to not go over maybe $500 since its not a gaming but it'll be fine if it does. Peripherals & Monitor: I know what to get him in this section he already has my old K95 Platinum and G903 and I have a few spare monitors. Software: I have windows 10 already Aesthetics: Doesn't really matter prefer now window but window is fine. When: Birthday is April 2nd and thats when I am giving him his other gifts so soon. |

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor ($91.99 @ Walmart) Motherboard: ASRock - B450M PRO4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($69.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Team - Vulcan 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($59.89 @ OutletPC) Storage: ADATA - Ultimate SU650 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($32.89 @ OutletPC) Video Card: PowerColor - Radeon RX 570 4 GB RED DRAGON Video Card ($139.99 @ Newegg) Case: Cooler Master - N200 MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($44.39 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair - CXM (2015) 450 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.98 @ Amazon) Total: $489.12 NVidia are apparently launching lower end Turing GPUs soon, but god knows how much those will cost. Still, might be worth getting one of those over an RX 570 potentially. Or, you could just not get a discrete GPU for now, the R3 2200G is an APU and will be perfectly adequate for playing some older games. Re-use storage from the old system and/or add whatever capacity HDD he will require. |

Yeah, the R3 2200G comes with a stock cooler- the Wraith Stealth.
The CM N200 comes with 2 included fans. If you want to add/upgrade fans, I like the Be Quiet! Pure Wings 2's. |
