So tomorrow I'm going up to the dealership to try to workout a deal for a 2019 392 Daytona and I was putting a good amount of money down on the car to get payments in the 2-300 a month range but I was watching a video saying it wasn't smart to do that because if you live in a high flood area or if some dipshit hits your car the insurance company will only front about 75% of the cars value on a high end car like that and long story short I'm moving to Florida in some months time so I was basically just wondering how do you guys who live in Florida avoid your car being flooded when a hurricane comes? Do ya'll just leave it in the garage?

I live in Florida, just survived hurricane Michael, but to answer your question, usually when people live in High flooded areas, they evacuate and take all the cars with them. Most people who have 3 cars, usually have a family member drive the others obviously. In most cases, when you got a hurricane coming, and your in a high flood area, you cannot live there, so you evacuate, taking your cars man.

I really hope this helps, because before we got hit by the hurricane, we stayed unfortunately, but there was really no areas to park cars, they just had to evacuate their stuff from flood zones, everybody that lived in the flood zones were mandatory evacuation.

To be honest, in a hurricane, you do not really want your car in high areas, you do not know how strong that wind is going to be. You do not know what buildings could collapse on your vehicle? It is just best to evacuate, avoid going back and forth with your insurances man. Before the hurricane came they only expected a Cat 3, it was a Cat 5 man, you just never know. Its always best to be extra safe. Cars are too dam expensive to be in the wind.
