Budget & Currency: 1200 USD
Peripherals & Monitor: For now I have a Insignia 32" Class (31.5" Diag.) - LED - 720p - HDTV (NS-32D220NA18) Games: Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Devil May Cry 5, The Division 2, Metro Exodus, current games Software: Windows Aesthetics: clean look, glass, maybe blue lights Rebates/Promos: N/A Details: decent gaming is the goal, looks dont really matter for the sake of the budget. Also, want to upgrade in the future. - Also he already has an i7 -7700k in hand so it is not needed to calculate this into the budget. He is looking for a Normal ATX Formfactor on this build. When: within 60 days. |

If it's closer to 60 days, we might have some more concrete info on AMD's Navi GPU line-up by then, so it might be worth holding off for that. Currently, your best bet is an RTX 2060 with that kind of budget. Though I would definitely recommend buying a nice monitor with that budget, an RTX 2060 would be way overkill for a 720p TV. Easy enough to fit an RTX 2060 and nice monitor within that budget though, especially since you've already got the CPU sorted.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor (Purchased For $0.00) CPU Cooler: be quiet! - Dark Rock Pro 4 50.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($84.99 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: ASRock - Z270 Killer SLI/ac ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($103.98 @ Newegg) Memory: G.Skill - Flare X 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($79.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Crucial - MX500 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($69.95 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI - GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB GAMING Z Video Card ($389.99 @ Newegg) Case: NZXT - H500 (Black/Blue) ATX Mid Tower Case ($69.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair - RMx (2018) 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($78.98 @ Newegg) Monitor: Samsung - LC27JG50QQNZA 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor ($309.99 @ Amazon) Total: $1187.86 You could save a decent chunk of cash by going with a 1080p 144Hz monitor instead, but if you did then there wouldn't really be anything worth investing the saved money in to IMO. Better to get the nicer 1440p 144Hz monitor which would easily last several years, and likely through a few GPU upgrades. You can get the case in all black, or white instead of the black/blue one I included if you'd rather keep the blue accents to lighting. The GPU has RGB LEDs, but if you don't care so much about that, you could save $40 with this; pcpartpicker.com/product/KX66Mp/g...2060oc-6gd Newegg have the motherboard open box for $20 less if you want; newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?I...-_-Product this is pretty much the only Z270 mobo I'd bother buying, whether you get it open box or not, since the rest of the decent quality Z270 mobo's are either over-priced or discontinued. Lastly, you'll probably want to add an HDD, so just add whatever capacity you're after. |
