If you've already got a decent monitor and are determined to go with Intel, I'd look at something like this;
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor ($375.89 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: be quiet! - Dark Rock Pro 4 50.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($84.99 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: Gigabyte - Z390 AORUS PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($179.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Crucial - Ballistix Sport LT 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($83.69 @ Amazon) Storage: Intel - 660p Series 1 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($109.99 @ Newegg) Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($498.99 @ SuperBiiz) Case: Fractal Design - Meshify C Dark TG ATX Mid Tower Case ($94.99 @ Walmart) Power Supply: SeaSonic - FOCUS Plus Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($74.99 @ Newegg Business) Total: $1503.52 If you've not got a high refresh rate and/or high resolution display, I'd probably look at putting some of that $1500 towards a nice new monitor. You could get a 3440x1440 100Hz monitor possibly, or easily get a nice 1440p 144Hz monitor within budget. |
