So I'm new to PC gaming and I just had a question, I have a iBUYPOWER model (BB952) and was wondering if I need to flip the switch on the back after powering off the PC? I believe it gives power to the video card maybe idk? I'm probably wrong just thought I'd ask. |

As per all devices, unless you physically stop all transfer of electricity to the unit, some of the components will still work. Think of your TV, the infrared sensor still works so you can power it on via a remote control even if the screen itself is off.
In terms of PC's, there's nothing major that still work in the background. The motherboard still gets power to run the Ethernet controller for things like Wake On Lan. I'm not aware of anything else working but I could be missing a few things. You don't have to switch off the power switch at the back of the PC, but you can do. It will do no harm if you do or you don't. |
