Hi all. I'm looking to build a gaming rig for as cheap as possible. I'd say I'm a casual gamer as I don't have the time for it these days but when I do play I like to run my games in high or ultra.

I recently acquired an auros RTX 2070 egpu which I'm planning on using.

I also have 2 x 16gb 3000mhz DDR4 Corsair vengeance ram to use, as well as a 500gb PCie nvme ssd that will be coming out of my laptop to add to the build.

So what I'm looking for is a compatible motherboard, power supply, chip set and a case. Also looking for suggestions on a monitor/keyboard/mouse.

Motherboard will ideally have a usb c port and rgb lighting.
Case ideally will have a display window and cable runs.

I'll be running it on windows 10 x64 home. I'd prefer to be able to game in 4K if possible with the RTX.

I've not built a pc in over 10 years now so thought I'd get some more informed opinions than my own.

As I stated above I don't have a set budget but would like it to be as cheap as possible while also being future proof and powerful.

All help/suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Something I find a lot of people fail to realize because of how Microsoft and Sony market their consoles is how 4k actually renders and the differences between a monitor and a TV.

CPU - x
Motherboard - x ~ RGB and 1x USB C port
OS - W10 x64
GPU - RTX 2070
RAM - 2x 16GB @ 3000MHz
Storage - M.2 500GB
Keyboard - x
Mouse - x
Monitor - x ~ 4k
Case - x ~ display window and cable runs
Desire - cheap, powerful, future proof.

A quick list

Questions:
1. Why do need a USB C Port? iPhone user? Is there an issue with using iCloud, iTunes, etc. on windows for you since you don't have to plug your device into a PC anymore, I can't see the reason outside wanting to upload videos and photos, but.. I mean.. iCloud, dropbox, and tons of options for that.
2. What exactly are you looking for with this RGB? LCD displays you can customize to your desire or just RGB?
3. What do you care about in a keyboard? Mechanical keys, simplicity, number pad removed, macro keys, full sized keyboard with macro keys, wrist rest, rgb or not, programmable keys?
4. Mouse - do you care for "GAMER!" mice with programmable macro keys? If so how many? What kind of games do you play?
5. Headset, mic, headphones, speakers, speakers in monitor?
6. Cases, I can't really think of anything that doesn't have a tempered glass window in it for the past two years. Cable runs, no idea what you mean by this, do you mean it comes with tie down mounting points, places you can tuck/manage cables easier? Do you not the ability to buy some twist ties or zip ties? Give or take 94% of cases have such features for cable management.
7. Monitor wise, 4k, are you sure you want 4k? Because the 2070 in 4k doesn't break over 60fps at all times. It can, but it depends on areas of the game, and those stutters and latency can be pretty jarring in 4k. The 2070 can play games in ultra everything in 4k, just not entirely seemless, and with RTX features enabled definitely not in 60 fps.
8. Are you willing to wait possibly until January 2020 for this PC to be finished due to AMD and Nvidia releases expected due between Q2-Q4 of 2019? Such could impact prices significantly.
9. Is that RAM for a laptop or a PC?
10. Is that RAM 32GB total or 16?
11. Liquid cooling or air cooling?
12. Case size? Compact, medium, large?
13. Case with or without RGB?
14. Open air case or closed?
15. Are you aware that getting over 60 fps currently is impossible at 4k, but will be options come 2020 and 2021?
16. Do you understand the difference of a VA and IPS panel? That a VA can come off muddy when it comes to color accuracy and IPS is more vibrant?
17. What size monitor are you looking for, recommendations for 4k start as low as 29" and are highly recommended to be 30" and larger.
