Look for some apprenticeships, either electrical, plumbing or HVAC. I'm an HVAC tech and I started at $16 as an apprentice now I make $24 with just a little over 2 years experience. |

Apply for a telecommunications company such as Spectrum,Verizon as a field technician. Their pay is pretty good. I work for Spectrum our in the field and I make $22 an hour, plus get free cable services and they match 9% of whatever you put in your 401K. |

Start your own landscaping business.
Invest in truck, trailer, equipment Put on same as cash 12-18 month 0%; if you have a good credit score Mow yards for $20 and as you gain experience in it, bump prices, i make anywhere from 45-105$ an/hr and then $45an hr on landscaping/trim work, but ive done it for 13 years. |

I make $56.00 an hour, i'm a journeyman fire Sprinkler fitter. I'm 30 years old and have been doing it for almost 7 years. I make over $20 an hour more than a lot of our engineers that went to school for 4 years. But not everyone can do trade work. It's really hard and physically demanding for the first 3-4 years until you become a foreman than it's a lot easier physically but more stress.
A buddy of mine read a bunch of books on managing people, then lied on his job application that he has been a manager for several years. Got hired and trained with zero expertise lol. You're worth as much as you can negotiate for. Bust your ass and make a name for yourself, then just keep your head down and work. Money will come.. |

Try corrections, the prisons and jails are always hiring, there's awesome benefits (health, 401k, dental, etc.) that come with it but just also be mindful of what bad stuff comes with that job as well.
It's what I do currently so if you have questions about it let me know. |

RepBandit wrote Start your own landscaping business.Out of all the replies so far, this one seems most likely what I'd be geared toward since I already have a work truck and all the neccessary equipment just from landscaping my own house |

it doesnt hurt to either start your own business or work at a clothing store or something, since each area is different and each store wages are different.
you would have better luck at making your own business then trying to get 18$+/h i used to be a landscaper before changing my business to be more so from helping people move renovations and landscaping but yeah it depends where you live, city country province or state all plays a role since each place has different minimum wages, for minimum wage in canada its 10$ so 15$/h is pretty good unless its a boring office job |
