I'm trying to take advantage of the new gamertag system for something really unique. I'm from a Russian background, and I'm trying to represent that. The gamertags I'm trying, are definitely NOT taken, but it's still trying to give me a suffix, which, to say the least, is very annoying.
Their update said if it was truly unique, and nobody else in the world had it, if we were the first to claim it, that it'll have no suffix, but I'm finding that even a random mix of 11 English characters, and a single Russian character, in any order at all, still is making me take a 4 digit suffix at the end, which... is the exact opposite of what they said it would be like. Two names that I'm almost positive aren't taken, one name I'm 100% sure isn't taken, and it's trying to add a suffix to both. https://i.imgur.com/DkUDvLz.png https://i.imgur.com/0b8Kzov.png |

Yes If you change it to any language it will do this, even people at Xbox have the same thing with the numbers at the end. |

Yea but my issue stems from the fact that they said if it's truly unique, there will be no suffix, nobody else has these two example names, I checked, so having a suffix is an issue lol |

Yes, so the thing is that it will have a number at the end for any language. English is an exception if the Gamertag is not taken. But any added languages do the #2943 at the end. I tried this yesterday as well. |
