Looking into getting another PC, so would love if someone could give me build ideas for inspiration.
Budget & Currency: 1000GBP Peripherals & Monitor: No Games: Fortnite, most AAA titles, Arma etc Software: Win10 Aesthetics: Minimalist (green/black or white/black) Rebates/Promos: No Details: I would love to be able to stream but I know my budget may not be great for that, but just looking for a good platform to upgrade in the future. Depends on the monitor really. If the monitor is up to snuff, then something like this;
PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (£200.00) CPU Cooler: be quiet! - Dark Rock 4 CPU Cooler (£52.38 @ Aria PC) Motherboard: MSI - B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard (£89.84 @ AWD-IT) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (£65.60 @ CCL Computers) Storage: Intel - 660p Series 1.02 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive (£97.27 @ CCL Computers) Video Card: Asus - GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB DUAL OC Video Card (£319.94 @ AWD-IT) Case: Cooler Master - MasterBox NR600 (w/o ODD) ATX Mid Tower Case (£69.95 @ CCL Computers) Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 (EU) 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (£65.47 @ Amazon UK) Total: £960.45 R5 3600 available July 7th. The R5 3600 will come with an included Wraith Stealth cooler, so you don't have to buy the Dark Rock 4- the Wraith Stealth would suffice, though the DR4 is a much better cooler. Add an HDD if you want/need. Plenty of decent cases in the £60-80 price range, NR600 is my favourite currently- looks nice and clean, good airflow, and well priced. RTX 2060 "Super" is supposedly being announced July 2nd for a July 9th release, so maybe worth keeping an eye out for those but with Navi pricing being so poor(IMO), I reckon the RTX 2060 Super is going to cost closer to 400 quid anyway, so a mid range vanilla RTX 2060 is likely still gonna be your best bet, or maybe an RX 5700 depending on how they're priced on launch here in the UK, but it's not looking great for Navi. |

Thanks 21,
I appreciate the list. Maybe worth waiting a week or two into July just to see what happens. Hearing good things about Ryzen Gen 3 Thanks again +rep! |

Yeah, I'd definitely just hold off for the R5 3600 now, it's less than 2 weeks away from launch. It's gonna cost more than a 2600x probably, but IPC is vastly increased over Zen/Zen+ and clock speeds are looking a lot more solid, so will probably still be worth the premium over a 2600x(IMO). That said, if you'd rather build now, a 2600x would do the job. |
