Definitely don't buy an R5 1600x, especially not for $145. You can get the R5 2600 for $140, but honestly, I'd just pay the premium and grab an R5 3600. The IPC increase and other architecture improvements are worth it IMO.
Also do not pay $100 for your OS. You can use Win10 for free, or buy a key easily for ~$30. PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($199.00 @ Amazon) Motherboard: MSI - B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard (Purchased For $99.99) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($64.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Intel - 660p Series 512 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($59.89 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Asus - GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB STRIX GAMING Video Card ($429.99 @ Newegg) Case: Fractal Design - Focus G ATX Mid Tower Case (Purchased For $49.99) Power Supply: Cooler Master - MWE Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($76.50 @ Newegg) Total: $980.35 Don't know what you plan on using the system for, or what monitor(s) you'll be using, but for a $1000 system, you should be looking at something like this, with an RTX 2070- not a 1660Ti. Some 2070's going for good prices now since the Super cards were announced, but if you want to save some money, an RTX 2060 6GB is an alright shout for $330-350, the 2070 is definitely worth the premium if you can manage it though IMO. |
