Just curious to see if there are any fellow dropouts on the forum, whether its highschool or college, and how that has affected your life.

Me personally, I dropped out of high school during my junior year, I got into some trouble with the law and moved states and just got into a depression so I basically just gave up.

Recently, 3 years after dropping out, I started taking online GED prep classes and will be taking the GED on all subjects next month sometime so thats cool.

I did graduate high school.
Enrolled into college, went my first day, was there for 20 min and walked out, never went back. That was 5 years ago.
So idk, I kinda wanna get a college degree but I don't care, at the same time

Kinda
I plan on going back to CC but idk if that will actually happen.
I did graduate high school though, which really doesn't mean much with the whole American education system and what not.

I graduated high school. I went to college, it was fun. I was in a fraternity, met some great people but just couldn't get the grades.

I graduated highschool a little earlier than I should have because of a screw up with how the systems for Russia (I think most of Europe too) and America work. In America, it's usually called like 6th grade, 7th grade and all of that. In Russia we have Year 7 and Year 8 and so on. Year 7 would be the equivalent of 6th grade over in America. So when we moved from Russia to America, I was in Year 9 over there, which should have been 8th grade for America; however, they didn't know that and put me into 9th grade, skipping me up a whole year, where I graduated high school at 16. After that I was pushed to go into college at 16, nearing my 17th birthday and I went -- for like 3 months and then just disappeared from the campus for a while then not even a few weeks later, just packed my stuff up and left my mothers house and left the state lol

I wouldn't say I've been impacted by dropping out/ditching college, I had seen it as a complete waste of my time and money to finish up college. I don't know if me graduating a little earlier than I should have had an impact on that choice, but college was just something I didn't want to deal with. I already had a lot of stress going on at that point in life and I really didn't need to add more to it, in order to please others.
